I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us for our Annual Private Treaty Bull Sale. With this year's sale offering being 85% AI sired you will find many recognizable sires featuring some of the top calving ease, performance, carcass, and maternal bloodlines from the Gelbvieh, Angus, Red Angus, and Balancer® breeds. This year's sale offering consists of an elite group Gelbvieh & Balancer® bulls (Reds & Blacks), as well as a select group of Angus bulls. The entire Angus offering comes from the Cannon Valley Ranch - Bruce and LeeAnn Waugh & family of Goodhue, MN. I am very confident that we have a group of bulls that will take your program in a positive direction.

Beginning with our mating decisions, our bulls are developed with our commercial customers in mind. The bull calves begin being evaluated for quality the day they are born. At weaning the top bull calves from 400+ registered cows were selected to enter our bull development program. The Bulls are being developed on a high roughage ration formulated by our nutritionist for an average gain of 3.00 lb/day over the gain test period. Our gain test allows the bulls to be developed at a rate conducive to good health without jeopardizing soundness, while still giving us a picture of their genetic potential for post-weaning growth. The bulls are developed in a spacious lot that optimizes health, stimulates exercise, and enables the bulls to be developed with sound feet and legs. At the conclusion of the gain test the bulls are carcass scanned and all bulls that make the grade for phenotype, performance, disposition, carcass quality, etc. will be offered for sale.

Again this year the bulls will be kept until needed**, delivered at no charge **up to 250 miles, and will come with a first breeding season guarantee. The structure of the sale will be the same as in years past. All of the bulls will have a set price. From 11:00am to 1:00pm, buyers can go through the bulls, make their selections, and record them with our staff. At 1:00p.m. all bulls with more than one person interested will be auctioned off between interested buyers, if no one wishes to raise the bid the first person recorded on the bull will own him at the set price. At 1:30p.m. all bulls will be sold at the set prices. We still offer our deferred payment program so there is no need to bring your checkbook or trailer on sale day, just make your selections. Prior to delivery all of the bulls will be given a complete breeding soundness exam including semen test.
