Schafer Farms is a 7-generation farm located in southeast Minnesota that focuses on value-added and service-driven components of livestock agriculture with a goal of helping producers effectively and efficiently raise commodity products for today’s consumers. Founded in 1886 when the home farm was purchased shortly after being homesteaded, Schafer Farms started out like many did back then with a purpose of being self-sustaining for the family and diversifying in a wide variety of crops and livestock species. Through the generations, the farm has grown and become more specialized to where it is at today – focusing on various components of pork and beef production.
